伊丽莎白·布兰德

伊丽莎白 Barker 布兰德 was born in 1957. 她得了B。.A. in Speech and Theater from the College of Wooster in 1979 and her J.D. from Case Western Reserve University in 1982, where she was elected to the Order of the Coif. She was admitted to the Ohio Bar in 1982 and is currently on inactive status. 布兰德 practiced law in Cleveland, Ohio with Hahn, Loeser and Parks. 

In 1984, she joined the faculty at Case Western Reserve University as an instructor and adjunct professor. She joined the faculty at the bet365亚洲官网 as an associate professor in 1988 and is currently the 詹姆斯E. Rogers Distinguished Professor. In 2006, 布兰德 was appointed Associate Dean for 教师 Affairs. 布兰德 has also served as visiting professor at Notre Dame University School of Law, Washburn University School of Law and Gonzaga University School of Law. 

布兰德 teaches Community Property, Family Law, Children & the Law, Domestic Violence & the Law, and Wills and Trusts. She has been involved with a number of student groups, including the McNichols Moot Court Competition and the National Lawyer's Guild Student Chapter, the ACLU of Idaho Student Chapter and the Sexual Orientation 多样性 Alliance. 布兰德 is a past Alan G. Shepard Distinguished Professor and is a recipient of the bet365亚洲官网 Award for Teaching Excellence. She has received three 校友奖 for Teaching Excellence and has been the recipient of the Peter E. Heiser Award for service to law students three times. 

布兰德 is a member of the Idaho Supreme Court’s Child Protection Committee and its Committee on Children and Families in the Courts. She is also active with the Idaho State Bar Association and serves as secretary of the Idaho Family Law Council. She is the primary author and editor of "Protecting Children of High Conflict Divorce: An Idaho Benchbook," and the "Idaho Child Protection Manual and Annotated Forms." In 1998 she received the Family Law Section of the Idaho State Bar's Award of Distinction. 

布兰德 is a member of the editorial Board of the ABA Family Law Quarterly and the Executive Committee of the Family and Juvenile Law Section of the Association of American Law Schools. She has published articles dealing with child custody, 家庭暴力, family court organization and reform, 夫妻共同财产, U.S. terrorism policy, the first amendment, and academic freedom. 

In addition to her academic work, 布兰德 is a past president and member of the Board of Directors of the ACLU of Idaho and a past member the National ACLU Board. She is the mother of seventeen-year old twins. She is active with Girl Scouting, and director of the bell choirs at her church. She enjoys reading, knitting, sewing, and stenciling.
